What kind of federated services would people like to see privacytools.io host? Plume (https://joinplu.me/)? PeerTube (https://joinpeertube.org/en/)? Nextcloud (not sure how much storage we would be able to provide though)?
@jonah Write Freely (https://writefreely.org) is also nice
@jonah What do you think about Pleroma? I think the UI more userfriendly compared to Mastodon.
@jonah Let's start with Plume. They only have a few instances and it's a great way for people to share privacy related content (news, guides, tutorials) and PeerTube next. I'm against Nextcloud for now. Maybe a paid model (Crypto) in the future?
@bidetaggle @jonah Wow, good timing. We really do need a web dev currently. Please join our chat on https://riot.privacytools.io/

@Torrey Hi Torrey, we listed Simplenote in the past but it was replaced with Standard Notes.
"As for Simplenote, as noted, it is not a privacy focused product and does not offer client-side encryption."

Another case: #Airbnb guest found hidden #surveillance camera by scanning Wi-Fi network. The most troubling part of this is the reaction from Airbnb. They didn’t do anything until it became public and a PR issue. That is just shady.

@pkntl All I saw was an indian travel website. Did you ban them, jonah? Who else was spamming here?
@jonah @nigelisok I think he got that error "too may requests," while signing up with Riot. Another user complained on Mastodon, too.
