@Wetrix @BurungHantu Everyone makes their own opinion. In any case, we have our own index and we have our own servers in Europe 😉

@Qwant @BurungHantu I think believe it or that bing isn't that bad. Microsoft has been making some big strides in becoming more open and better privacy related.

I'm not saying there good but they're better than Google lol 😂

@BurungHantu
Qwant uses click tracking.

Open the web developer console and look at the requests when you open a link. On the main site it is an asynchronous post request, on the lite site they use redirect URLs like Google.

I cannot recommend anyone to use their search engine until they stop doing this.

@BurungHantu

The image shows the data transmitted when using the main site and clicking the first result.

When you use lite.qwant.com, you get result URLs like these:

hxxps://lite.qwant.com/redirect/AAm1VZHKghZg%2FlEMUAMorUz7FX8IircNTOROCFVkOGY%3D/https%3A%2F%2Fprivacy.com%2F?position=11&query=privacy&t=web&l=en

They are very bold to tell their users that they are not tracking them, when they actually do the same when you click a result as Google does.

@allo @BurungHantu French sites are the most vocal advocates of privacy, but also the worst offenders. Consider Exodus, a French privacy site, which tracks Android trackers. Its worst apps are all French.

@allo @BurungHantu just kicked qwant of all my devices for censoring natural health results. back to DDG.
